The last 24 hours have been a little rough. The anti-nausea medication has not been able to keep up with how toxic this chemo treatment is. Hoping to feel better in the coming days.

  1. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Doug and your family. Hang in there, you're a tough man! Maybe you should forgo a couple church standards and knock back a few drinks. I heard that helps with the nausea! (joking)

Thank you for raising such a beautiful, kind, funny daughter. I am so grateful for Ashley--she will always be one of my best friends.

For what it's worth, this has given me strength when I have felt like things have seemed overwhelming in my life and I felt like life couldn't get any worse:

It isn’t as bad as you sometimes think it is.
It all works out. Don’t worry.
I say that to myself every morning.
    It will all work out.
    Put your trust in God,
    and move forward with faith
    and confidence in the future.
The Lord will not forsake us.
    He will not forsake us.
If we will put our trust in Him,
if we will pray to Him,
if we will live worthy of His blessings,
    He will hear our prayers.

    Onward, Doug!

  2. Hi Doug. Sending you many hugs and prayers. You've touched the lives of many with your kindness. I remember that tall drink of water with a sweet smile. Know that we love you. I'm sending you lots of good vibs from across the miles. As always Ginger Brooks Pickering
